and welcome to our foundry in the beautiful north! Where the North Sea always provides a fresh breeze, we live North German virtues - hard work, healthy pragmatism, cool composure and dry humor. Immerse yourself into our world of glowing metal and real craftsmanship!
Founded in 1946, Giesserei Schmidt looks back on over 75 years of tradition in which it has always felt committed to its customers, employees and the environment. Jens Jäger and Peter Heinze have taken over the company in this tradition in 2023, but at the same time realign it for the challenges of the future. The sustainibility of the business is the focus of our actions.

MANAGING DIRECTOR
We practice consistent energy management with the aim of operating our production processes as energy-efficiently as possible. Our investment plan until 2026 calls for at least 50% of our energy needs to come from renewable energies.
We have highly efficient sand processing. This means that molding sand can be processed and reused again and again. Sand waste is thus reduced to a minimum.
As far as possible, we use recycled scrap in our smelting operations and thus make an important contribution to the circular economy and resource conservation.
